OUR OBJECTIVES

At NTAT, our purpose is clear — to empower, sustain, and transform Namibia’s traditional communities through impactful action.

We aim to:

  • Promote socio-economic development across Namibia’s 53 Traditional Authorities.

  • Transform natural resource value into community-driven investments.

  • Provide sustainable infrastructure and essential services to rural areas.

  • Encourage participatory governance and community ownership of development.

  • Uphold and preserve tradition, dignity, and cultural leadership.

OBJECTS OF THE TRUST

The NTAT operates under the Second Amended Deed of Trust (05.10.2022), focusing on:

  1. Accepting donations, grants, and endowments for development.

  2. Providing financial and educational support to worthy beneficiaries.

  3. Funding infrastructure and community projects benefiting Traditional Authorities.

  4. Creating income-generating opportunities for local communities.

  5. Delivering additional support services as determined by the Trustees.

  6. Managing Trust income derived from sustainable commercial ventures (such as fisheries).

  7. Enhancing the living standards of all beneficiaries.
